A suburb and small village on Mount Dandenong, Kalorama provides great views of the Yarra Ranges and is surrounded by many of the prime attractions of the Dandenong Ranges.
Kalorama is located within the Dandenong Ranges National Park and is adjacent to the RJ Hamer Arboretum.
It is said that the name of the township comes from the Greek ‘kalos’, meaning beautiful.
The view from the Kalorama Lookout at Five Ways. Looking out toward the Silvan Reservoir and overlooking the Kalorama Park, RJ Hamer Arboretum and National Rhododendron Gardens.
The Kalorama Park, immediately below the lookout, is a great picnic area and a chance for a relaxing walk amongst the tree glades.
