Home to over 130 species of native birds.
Birdsland Reserve is a few kilometers south of the township of Belgrave and is a 75 hectare nature reserve. Originally owned by the Birds family as a sheep farm it was later purchased by the local government to preserve it as native bushland.
The Birdsland lake. The reserve is home to over 130 species of native birds, including the Wedgetail Eagle and Powerful Owl and over 200 species of native plants can be found there.
The park can be accessed via walking tracks and there are picnic and barbecue facilities available.
The park is open daily at 7.30 am and closes at various times depending on season – see the park signage.
