The William Ricketts Sanctuary is a sculpture park comprising over 90 different sculptures depicting Australian aboriginal people and their cultural interaction with nature. William Ricketts had indeed spent much of his life in communication with aboriginal peoples in central Australia.

William Ricketts (1898 – 19983) was an Australian sculpture and potter who lived at Mount Dandenong and continued to work on the sanctuary project until his death. In addition to the sanctuary, Ricketts’ works can be seen at Arthurs Seat, Mornington Peninsula, Powerworks Museum, Sydney and at Alice Springs, Central Australia.
