With Mount Feathertop and Harrietville to the north and the Omeo to the east, Mount Hotham is a popular skiing destination in winter and offering the beautiful scenery of the Victorian alps in summer.  The mountain peaks at 1,862 m. There is the Hotham Alpine Resort located on the Great Alpine Road that provides accommodation, ski lifts and ski slopes from beginners to advanced. 

While the winter slopes cater well to beginners, forty percent of the resort ski slopes are designated as advanced and is well known as suitable for even expert skiers and snow boarders. In summer the resort is a great place to bush walking and mountain biking or horse riding along the many trails.

The Hotham Alpine Resort. Both on and off mountain accommodation is available either at the resort or the alpine village of Dinner Plain 10 kms away, with a total of 7,000 beds for singles, couples, groups or families.
