A walk through the Gondwana Rainforest

The falls are located just off the Lyell Highway between Queenstown and Derwent Bridge.

A boardwalk takes you through the dense rainforest, some 700 meters to the bottom of the falls. Along the way are signs pointing out the different lush and ancient vegetation that you are passing through as part of the Gondwana rainforest.

A parking pass is required which can be obtained at Queenstown or Lake St Clair. Toilet and picnic facilities are at Franklin River, 33 kilometers east.
