A well protected bay offering water sports and camping.  

One of the features of the Tasman National Park, Fortescue Bay is a popular camping, fishing, diving and kayaking spot.

The bay is less than an hour and half travel by road from Hobart.

Two camp sites is available at the bay, both requiring a Tasmania national parks pass and a small fee. 

Tank water (requires boiling) is available and cooking fires are permitted, unless on days of fire restrictions.   

Cape Hauy

The cape can be explored on a four hour return hike from the camp site areas. 

The cape projects out into the Southern Ocean and has dramatic soaring cliff and coastal views.
